Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi!

I say - I need a movie!
And this one served the purpose. :-)
Soda glasses, loose shirt, ill-fitted pants and sport shoes. Whoa! Shahrukh has
never looked better than this. And I loved him in this film more than any
other. He stole my heart. Not the wannabe Shahrukh, the simple one!
There were bits when I felt that the movie is long but I would say the first
and last half and hour of the movie is the best.
An average looking man gets married a beautiful girl. You will ask why? Arrey,
Rab ne bana di Jodi yaar. And then how he does everything to win her heart. And
ultimately he does.
Predictable, isn’t it? But this movie is a joy only because of Shahrukh. I wasn’t
a great Shahrukh fan but now I am. I loved it. I would crack up everytime he would say - 'Punjab Power: Lighting up your house' He is working for a company called Punjab Power.
He said in one of his interviews, “Those who understand love, will like this
movie. Those who don’t, won’t!” Well for me, I love the idea of being in love
than love itself.
A special mention: We all know about the dance competition that happens in the
film. But there was another competition between duo – pani puri one. Shahrukh
wins the battle. He eats more pani-puri than Anushka. But If I was his
competitor, I swear I would have won. Trust me!
(Actually, I chose the wrong time to write this post. I am watching Salaam
Namaste at the moment and I love that film equally)
Oright then, Kabhi alvida na kehna. Always say... Hum hain rahi pyaar ke, phir milenge... chalte chalte ;-)
